For several years, Diagnostic Imaging Services (DIS) has been a proud supporter of the American Cancer Society of New Orleans, fighting to end all cancers. This year, unlike any other in recent memory, did not deter us from continuing our support for the excellent work being done by the Society.
But, the real thanks are to you! We and the American Cancer Society thank YOU for choosing us for your breast cancer screening and diagnostic needs.
We invited Becca from the American Cancer Society to join us for this year’s official donation presentation. In the photo (above right) from left-to-right is Keisha and Karen from DIS, Becca, and Michael, Jennifer and Jeff from DIS.
Diagnostic Imaging Services’ donation is predicated on the number of screening and diagnostic mammograms performed during the month of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year’s donation is in the amount of $5,278.
This donation roughly pays for over 100 stays at the Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge. The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge program provides a free home away from home for cancer patients and their caregivers. More than just a roof over their heads, it’s a nurturing community that helps patients access the care they need. The New Orleans Hope Lodge offers a supportive, homelike environment where guests can share a meal, join in the evening’s activities, or unwind in their own private room.
Our support will continue!
Diagnostic Imaging Services is committed to supporting the American Cancer Society is its mission to eradicate the disease known as cancer. We know that one day soon all of us will be able to celebrate many, MANY more birthdays.
Again, thank you to all those (and their medical providers) who chose DIS for their mammograms. We know there are many options from which to choose. By choosing Diagnostic Imaging Services, you choose an imaging provider offering the convenience of outpatient screening and avoiding hospital and hospital-owned imaging centers.
Comfort. Ease. Calm. Convenient.
From all of us at Diagnostic Imaging Services and the American Cancer Society of New Orleans, we wish you and yours a very happy, safe and healthy holiday season!
