Our Staff

DIS Call Center Representatives
Your first experience with DIS may be with our Call Center. They will assist you in making your appointment as easily as possible at any of our facilities. Call 504-883-5999 to make an appointment.

Our schedulers are trained to answer your questions about the necessary preparations for the examination(s) your physician has ordered. Every attempt will be made to schedule you at the office location and time that is most convenient for you.

Pre-Registration
Our pre-registration staff attempts to contact each patient by telephone prior to your scheduled visit to assess medical background and be sure that the test will be accurate, safe and as beneficial as possible. They attempt to collect as much medical information from your managed care company as possible prior to your visit to provide benefit information from the insurance company and inform you of any payment responsibilities.

Clinic Receptionists
It is our objective to make your visit as simple as possible for you. Once you arrive for your examination, our front office receptionists will register you quickly so that you may complete your visit with us in the shortest amount of time possible.

After a radiologist interprets your examination, a detailed report of the findings will be prepared by one of our many transcribers. Our commitment is tho have a finalized report delivered to your physician’s office within one business day of the exam, so that theis information will be available to your physician. Some physicians have requested access to our computer (PACS) system and ar able to access both images and reports immediately after they have been signed by a radiologist.

At times, however, there may be a reason preventing the report from being sent out within one business day. For example, there may be a delay in retrieving films from another facility needed to compare for a diagnosis. Please make arrangements with your personal physician’s office to discuss the results of your test(s).

Patient Financial Services
If you have health insurance and we can verify your coverage, we are happy to bill your insurance carrier directly for its portion of the charges. We gladly accept Medicare and Medicaid assignments. Our staff does not want you to be burdened by filling out forms.

For those cash-paying patients who have no insurance or whose insurance may not cover the exam your physician has ordered, we have special rates. Just ask.

We understand that the out-of-pocket cost of diagnostic testing can be expensive for many people. Do not let financing stand in the way of your receiving the diagnostic testing your doctor has ordered. Let DIS work with you to find a proper solution, so your doctor can be proactive in their approach to your care. Just speak to the scheduler before you have your exam and we will try to find a solution that will work for you.
