Your first experience with DIS may be with our Scheduling Department. They will greet and assist you in making your appointment as pleasant and easy as possible. Our schedulers are trained to answer your questions about the necessary preparations for the examination(s) your physician has ordered. |

Pre-Registration
A DIS staff member will collect as much medical information from your managed care company as possible, prior to your visit. We will provide benefit information from the insurance company and inform you of any payment responsibilities. DIS will verify benefit information, deductibles and co-pay and make payment arrangements. |

Technical Staff
At DIS, our skilled technologists are here to make sure that you receive a test that will be accurate, safe and as beneficial as possible to you. All of our Radiologic (x-ray) technologists are certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and Louisiana Society of Radiologic Technologists (LSRT). Our sonographers are credentialed through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and many have received advanced certification as Registered Vascular Technologists (RVTs) through the ARDMS. |

All of our Nuclear Medicine Technologists have received certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Many of our technologists are trained and/or certified in specific technologies, including computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, mammography, general x-ray, bone densitometry, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). All of our mammography technologists are fully licensed and credentialed as well, and receive continuing education. In addition to their technical expertise, our skilled technologists are committed to providing personalized, compassionate service in order to make your experience with DIS a pleasant one. |

Transcription Following the radiologist’s interpretation of your exam, one of our transcriptionists will prepare a detailed report of the findings. Our commitment is to have a finalized report delivered to your physician's office within 24-48 hours of the exam so that this information will be available to your physician. |

Patient Financial Services If you have health insurance and we can verify your coverage, we are happy to bill your insurance carrier directly for its portion of the charges. We gladly accept Medicare and Medicaid assignments. Our Patient Financial Services staff is more than happy to answer any of your billing questions and to help you with your paperwork. At DIS, you will only receive one bill that includes both the professional and technical components of your exam (known as global billing) because patient convenience is our priority. |
