 Dear Fellow Healthcare Consumer: 

With 2010 in full swing, many of us are experiencing changes to our healthcare plans.  This year these changes seem to have one common theme -- we as healthcare consumers are being asked to pay more out of our own pockets and leap more hurdles, often with very little notice.  In some instances, it’s additional co-pay.  In others, it‘s a required higher percentage of co-insurance or even higher deductibles to hold down the cost of your healthcare.  For still others it’s a requirement that the testing be preauthorized, where none was required previously.  It’s exactly the same for our employees here at Diagnostic Imaging Services (“DIS”).

Please understand that DIS is being held to our contracts with your insurers as to what we collect from you.  In some cases these co-pays are substantially greater than they were in 2009.  Despite these obligations, I want you to know that Diagnostic Imaging Services will take the time to work with you as individuals when it comes to how dollars come out of your pocket.  We also have discounts for those patients who have to pay cash because they don’t have health coverage or qualify for any state or federal programs. 

DO NOT let financing stand in the way of your receiving the diagnostic testing your doctor has ordered.  Let DIS work with you to find a proper solution, so your doctor can be pro-active in his or her approach to your care.  Call us at (504) 883-5999 and let us help you complete your diagnostic tests.  We even have Saturday hours so that you do not have to take time off during the week.  Just ask.
